My Approach
Welcome! I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and have been in private practice here in Santa Rosa since 2000. I work primarily with adults both individually and in couples. My approach is one of respect, and acceptance for the struggles we all experience on our journey toward a happy, fulfilling life. I believe that we strive to be and do the best we can, but often get stuck along the way in dysfunctional, limiting patterns, and negative self-perceptions. Through self-exploration, redirecting, and positive support, my approach allows you to move from those stuck places and embrace a more fulfilling life more consistent with your values and personal goals.

Experience and Training
Annette received her Bachelor of Arts degree at Sonoma State University, and her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. She has also received continuing education certification in Eating Disorders from the John F. Kennedy University. In addition to being a Marriage and Family Therapist, Annette is also a certified Personal Trainer with the American Council on Exercise and has previously taught fitness classes of many types throughout Sonoma County. Annette is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and actively participates in the local Redwood Empire Chapter of Marriage and Family Therapists, where she assists in providing mental health education, conferences, and assistance opportunities for our local community.
Since 2000, Annette has contracted with the County of Sonoma to provide counseling services to individuals and families involved in the child dependency court system. In this work, she has had the honor to work with people as they heal from severe trauma, including such issues as; domestic violence, abuse, neglect, addiction, depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem.
Annette is an avid student of health, and practices integrating and supporting our mind, body, and spirit connection both in her therapy practice and in her personal life. She believes that our human bodies are amazing, and hold a wealth of information about our history, our pains, and our road to mental, physical and spiritual well being. Annette loves the work she does, and feels it is an honor and privilege to share in the journey of the clients she sits with, and connects with, each day.
